The law offices of Jerry W. Cain, Jr., P.C. were established on July 16, 1999. The office has been established to allow Jerry Cain to practice workers’ compensation insurance defense litigation. The practice of the firm is 95%+ dedicated to workers’ compensation insurance defense.The firm was established with low overhead the principal consideration. This arrangement minimizes those overhead expenses that get "passed along" to the clients.
The firm has been established to take advantage of recent technological advances. State of the art legal research utilizing Internet resources (at no cost where possible) is available. Of course, the firm has access to hard copies of legal treatises and reports should those prove necessary. The firm is fully equipped to accommodate those clients who are moving toward a "paperless office" environment.

Admitted to the practice in Dougherty County, Georgia. Attended law school at University of Georgia. While there, served as a justice on the law school’s honor court, served as a member of the Federalist Society, and was a founding member of the Georgia League for Rural Enhancement. Also served both on the Editorial and Managing board for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. Published text of "Extraterritorial Application of the U.S. Trade Embargo Against Cuba: The U.N. General Assembly’s Call for an End to the U.S. Trade Embargo," 24 GA. J. OF INT’L & COMP. L. 399 (1994).Cum laude graduate from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. Member of Phi Beta Kappa. While at the University of South Carolina on a full academic scholarship, served on the Student Grievance Committee and the South Carolina Student Legislature. Also served as a research intern with the School of Public Policy, serving as an intern at the South Carolina General Assembly’s House Education and Ways and Means Committees.
Began practicing at Gardner, Willis, Sweat & Goldsmith (now known as Gardner, Willis & Sweat) in Albany where practice focused on workers’ compensation insurance defense and other aspects of civil litigation. Left there to work at Kissiah & Richter (now known as Kissiah & Lay) solely in the field of workers’ compensation insurance defense. That practice continued at Webb, Carlock, Copeland, Semler & Stair (now known as Carlock, Copeland & Stair). Have handled workers’ compensation litigation at all levels of the Georgia judiciary.
Professional affiliations have included the Georgia Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association (member of the Workers’ Compensation Sections of both the Georgia and Atlanta Bar Associations), and the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers. Served on the Board of the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers from 1995-1997.
